Walter T. Youngkin, for many years a resident of Hawarden, passed away suddenly at his home in Yankton, South Dakota, from heart trouble Tuesday noon. Mr. Youngkin had been working during the forenoon and was ready to partake of his noonday meal when he was suddenly stricken, passing away almost immediately. His remains were brought to Hawarden and funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church at 2:30 Friday afternoon with the Reverend H. Forrester, the pastor in charge. Interment will be made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Walter T. Youngkin was born in Pennsylvania to John Clinton and Rebecca (Gray) Youngkin July 9, 1870, and passed away April 4, 1933, being at the time of his death 62 years, 8 months and 25 days old. He was united in marriage with Delilia Jane (Herman) and to this union were born four children, all of whom survive. The children are Mrs. Ray Walter and C.T. Youngkin of Hawarden and Mrs. Roy Stephenson and Mrs. Albert Rasmussen of Sioux City.

Mr. Youngkin came to Hawarden over twenty-seven years ago and followed the trade of a painter and decorator. In his work he was considered among the best. Six years ago he went to Yankton where he operated a painting shop. His death came as a distinct shock to his children and sincere sympathy is extended to them.
