Mrs. Maggie Youngkin, 82, a resident of this vicinity 60 years, died last Friday at the Panska Nursing Home in Hawarden.

A child of Mr. and Mrs. George Oakes, she was born April 24, 1870 at Kilbourn, Wood County, Wisconsin. After coming here she taught in the rural schools before her marriage.

She was married to William E. Covvey February 12, 1895, and three children were born to this union. Mr. Covvey died December 31, 1919.

On June 1, 1921, she married Will T. Youngkin. He died April 4, 1933.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. William Kuperus of New London, Minnesota, and Eugene and Oaks Covvey of Hawarden and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard residence with Reverend John C. Thorns officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
