Obituary Of The Late Mrs. Wm. Lokhorst of Hull
Mrs Wm. Lokhorst, nee Nellie ver Meer, was born at Harderwijk in the Province of Gelderland, Netherlands, on the 2nd day of May in the year 1890. At the age of 20 years she came to America in the year 1910. On the 21st of December, in the year 1911, she was united in mariage with Wm. Lokhorst, with whom she lived in happy wedlock until the time of her death To this union 8 children were born seven of whom are still living and one having died in infancy.

Her entire life, since coming from the Netherlands, was spent in this vicinity and by far the greater time in the very house in which her parents settled when they came to America. She became ill some three months ago and was bed-ridden for the last eight weeks. During her illness she was a patient sufferer and frequently expressed the desire to depart and be with Christ.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, who died at the age of two years; brother, John. She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29 at 1:15 p. m., 1951, at the age cf 61 years, 4 month and 27 days. She is survived by her husband seven children, ten grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters The names of the children are John Van Holland; Edward, Mrs. Alfred De Jager; Peter; Mrs. Paul Stange; Mrs. John Oldenkamp and Nelva Joan. The names of her brothers are Case and Henry Ver Meer. The names of her sisters are Mrs. Wm Vis and Mrs. Neal Hulstein
