LOST THEIR BABY BOY-EIGHT MONTH SON OF MR. AND MRS. THOS. YATES DIED SUNDAY

Russell Blair, the eight month old son of Mr. and Thos. E. Yates of Ireton, died Sunday evening shortly before 10 o’clock at the Hawarden Hospital. The little one was taken quite sick Saturday with bowel trouble and when he failed to respond to medical treatment was brought to the Hawarden hospital Sunday afternoon where an operation was performed. The operation revealed that a tubercular condition existed and the case was then considered hopeless. He lived but a few hours following the operation.

The little one was born January 9, 1922 so was just 8 months and 8 days old. Brief funeral services were held at Sumners undertaking parlor Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Reverend William P. Vance, pastor of the Associated Churches and interment was made in Grace Hill Cemetery here. Mr. and Mrs. Yates have the sincere sympathy of everyone in their loss.
