Former Resident Dies in Dakota
Funeral services for Harry Scott, 63, a ranchman of Mc Laughlin SD formerly of Hawarden, who died following a heart attack Saturday, were held Wednesday at Selby, SD with burial at Mobridge SD. Mr. Scott a brother of Mrs. Herman Utech and Robert Scott of Hawarden, was working in the feed lot at his ranch when stricken.

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Scott, he was born in Hawarden April 1, 1902, and attended public schools here. He moved to Mc Luaghlin as a young man and engaged in ranching. There he married Miss Pearl Glarup on December 23, 1923, to which union five children were born. She died on January 24, 1950, and he remarried on February 19, 1959.

Survivors include the widow: a son Charles of McLaughlin; four daughters, Mrs. Isbelle Halzer, Mrs. Lucille Enright and Mrs. Genevieve Elders, all of Timber Lake SD and Miss Lorraine Scott of Burns OR; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude D’Ry of Los Angeles, Mrs. Helen Holiday of Phoeix, and Mrs. Lois Utech of Hawarden, and two brothers Ray Scott of Phoenix and Robert Scott of Hawarden.
