Frank E.Scott Dies at Age 79
Funeral services for Frank E. Scott, 79,- who was found dead in his hotel room Friday morning,
apparently from a heart attack, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral
home. Rev. Wm. Scoring officiated with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery of Ireton. Casket bearers were Roy Mapes, John Morgan, Frank Kelhower, Howard Benson, Kenneth Popken and Bill Hartman. Mrs. Ralph Gregg, jr., sang “Abide With Me" and "In the Garden."

Mr. Scott was born April 13, 1882, at Palmer, ID., and with his parents settled in the Ireton vicinity as a child. He spent most of his life in Sioux and Plymouth counties. He came to Hawarden 16 years ago. He never married. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Hellmuth Schwiesow and a nephew, Harley Fullerton, both of Hawarden, and several great nieces and great nephews. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones of Aberdeen, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. A. E Jones of Madison, S D., Mr. and Mrs Glenn Spangel and grandson and Mr. and Mrs. Troy Spangel, all of Palmer, IL., and Mrs. Daisy Bartlett and Mr., and Mrs. H. B. Wells of LeMars.
