Died: December 9, 1951 Maurice, Iowa

John Roghair was born March 4, 1864 at Barenneld Gelderland The Netherlands son of Gerrit and Johanna Roghair. Mr. Roghair passed away Dec. 9 1951 at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 5 days.

He arrived in Pella, Iowa at the age of four with his father and mother. By team and wagon he arrived in Sioux County at the age of ten. He lived in the Maurice Community most of his life.
He married Tryntje Faber on August 1892. To this union two children were born, Gerrit Roghair of Alton, IA and Mrs. Sam Jager of Maurice.

Mr. Roghair had eleven grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in March of 1945.
Services were held Wed. afternoon at 1:00 at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed Church. Interment was at the Maurice Cemetery.

The Co-op Burial Association was in charge of arrangements.
