Funeral services for Mrs. Adolph Larson, 50, who died Sunday at the Hawarden Hospital will be at 1:30 this afternoon (Thursday) in Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend O.F.W. Pittack officiating. Committal will be in the cemetery at Beresford with Frazier Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Larson was stricken Saturday evening while shopping in Hawarden. Shortly after her arrival at home, she fell into a comma, and was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning. She succumbed to a stroke shortly afternoon on May 24, after having suffered similar strokes for the past few years.

Gladys Agnes Larson was born at Creston, Illinois, on September 9, 1902, to Gilbert and Anna Hustrulid. At the age of 4 she accompanied her parents to a farm at Beresford, South Dakota, and at the age of 15 became a member of the Romsdahl Lutheran Church of Canton by the rite of Confirmation.

On May 25, 1924 she married Adolph Larson of Elk Point in the Moe Church at Canton by Reverend C.L. Dalseide. For the next 18 years she lived at Elk Point, where her husband was engaged in farming. In 1937 they moved to a farm at Alcester, and in 1941 to Parker, South Dakota. Since 1942 she had been living on a farm in the Hawarden vicinity.

Surviving are her husband, Adolph; three sons, Gilmore of Alcester, South Dakota, Merlyn in the United States Navy, and Larry at home; five daughters, Mrs. Ardella Johnson of Torfance, California, Mrs. Deloris Westfall of Sioux City, Mrs. Lorraine Powell of Ireton and Joyce and Grace, at home; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Eddie Hustrulid of Render, South Dakota, Carl of Los Angeles, Bert and George of Beresford and Arthur of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Tschudy of Beresford.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Clarence.
