Henry Witt, 62, a resident of this community for many years died at a hospital in Cherokee Monday evening at 9:45. He had been in poor health for some years past.

He was united in marriage with Miss Louise Johnson, February 6, 1916. After their marriage they moved onto the Witt farm, 8 ½ miles east of Hawarden and since this has been their home.

He is survived by three daughters, Florence, Elma and Irene; four brothers, Herman, Adolph, Fred and Otto Witt, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Noteboom and Mrs. Edith Kemis.

Funeral services will be held from the Ross Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 1:30 and at the Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock.

Note: His parents were Herman Witt and Henrietta Mielke Witt.
