Fisher Wressel, a former resident of Hawarden, passed away at his home in Seattle, Washington, Monday, March 7, 1932.

Mr. Wressel was born October 10, 1859, and so was past 72 years of age at the time of his death. He was employed as an engineer on the North Western Railroad for many years and in 1929 he was pensioned and since that time he made his home most of the time in the west. He entered the service of the North Western August 5, 1885, and was promoted to engineer August 15, 1888. Mr. and Mrs. Wressel lived in Hawarden for a time about six years ago and during that time made many friends who will be sorry to learn of his death.

His remains were brought to Eagle Grove for burial. Mrs. Emma (Wilb) Wressel and son Chauncy accompanied the remains from Seattle.
