Mark Witt, 33, of rural Hawarden died Monday, October 16, of injuries suffered in a farm accident at his home.

Services were at 10:30A.M. Thursday, October 19, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton with the Reverend Mark Carnahan officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden.

Mark Witt was born January 30, 1956, in Hawarden and graduated from West Sioux High School in 1974. He married Diane Franken July 13, 1985, in Sioux Center. The couple lived near Ireton and moved to rural Hawarden a year ago where he farmed with his father.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and served on the board of directors of FFARM.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; a son, Nathaniel, and a daughter, Megan, both at home; his father, Duane Witt of Hawarden; two brothers, Randy and Jason, both of Hawarden; two sisters, Cindy Pick of Orange City and Amy Vander Aarde of Sioux Falls; and his maternal grandmother, Hazel Newman of Hawarden.
