Mrs. Otto Witt, an early day resident of this community, died suddenly at Pipestone, Minnesota, about 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon from heart trouble. She was 61 years of age. Funeral services were held at Pipestone, Wednesday afternoon and interment was made at that place.

Mrs. Witt, who before her marriage was Susie Klingsporne, was united in marriage with Otto Witt at Ireton in 1893. They lived on their farm in Eagle township, four miles northeast of Hawarden, until 1898 when they moved to Pipestone, where they have since resided.

Besides her husband she is survived by six children, Richard of Pipestone, Louis of Trosky, Minnesota, Herbert of Flint, Michigan, Miss Lottie of Sioux Falls, and Leona and Norinda at home. She also leaves several brothers and sisters. One sister, Mrs. L.D. Satterlee, resides at Ireton.

Adolph Witt and daughter, Esther, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schiefen of Akron and Mr. and Mrs. William F. Heuer went to Pipestone Wednesday morning to attend the funeral.
