GLENN E.BENSON
Glenn E. Benson, 84, of Rock Valley, died Monday, September 16, in a hospital in Rock Valley.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, in Pioneer United Methodist Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Ron Johnson officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery. Family visitation and a Masonic service was in the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mr. Benson was born January 23, 1901, in Rock Valley and attended Rock Valley community school. He married Christine Moser December 9, 1927, in Sioux Falls, S.D. They farmed near Rock Valley and Inwood. In 1962 they retired and moved to Rock Valley. She died May 22,1979. Mr. Benson was a member of Pioneer United Methodist Church, Sapphire Masonic. Lodge 427 of Rock Valley, IOOF and the Farm Bureau. Survivors include three daughters, Betty L.. Lee of Albany, N.Y., Ione Seiken of Schenectady, N.Y., and Helen Boen of Sioux Falls; two brothers, Elmer and Lloyd, both of California; one sister, Carrie Huckstep of California; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
