Elise Nutan "Lissy" Post, 20 month old daughter of Doug and Julie Post of Carmel, died Thursday morning Dec. 11, at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were Monday Dec. 15, at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with Rev. Jan Neels of Hertitage Reformed Church in Hull, officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Lissy Post was born April 11, 2002 in Arangabad, India. She became a part of the Post family on Sept. 5, 2003 joining her parents, Doug and Julie and big sister, Emily at their home in Carmel. Her big brown eyes soon captured the hearts of family and friends alike.

Survivors include her parents, Doug and Julie Post of Carmel; a sister, Emily Post of Carmel; grandparents, Tom and Hildonna Vande Pol of Rock Valley, and Ron and Karen Post of Rock Valley; aunts and uncles, Dave and Vicki Van Dyke of Sioux City, Kevin and Sandra Post of Sioux City, Phil Vande Pol of Iowa City, and Monica Vande Pol of Ames; cousins, Lauren and Madilyn Van Dyke of Sioux City, and Nate Post of Sioux City; and great-grandparents, Stella Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley, Rena Van Beek of Rock Valley, and John Vande Pol of Sioux Center.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents John and Jennie Post, John Van Veldhuizen, Dorothy Vande Pol and Harry Van Beek.
