At the home of his son George two miles northeast of Hawarden, Casper (Kasper) Kleinhaus (Kleinhans) passed away on Mary Twenty second 1910. He had been sick with creeping paralysis for over four years and for the last three or four years and four months was helpless as a child. Kasper Kleinhans was born in Baden Germany on August 11, 1843 and came to the United States in 1884. He was one of the pioneers of this section of the country. He was married to Miss Anna M. Hampel (Susan Margareth Hanegel) October first 1868 in Germany and three children were born to them.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. Hoelscher of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment was made in Grace Hill cemetery at Hawarden on Tuesday. He is survived by his wife and three children. Also by a brother and sister residing in Germany.
