Alton Democrat of May 24, 1910

Orlando Waldorf died at his home in Hudson SD on Wednesday May eighteenth 1910 after an illness of several months. He was born in Ohio on Dec 7th 1837 and was seventy two years old when he died. He served three years on the Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry and was married on Nov. 11, 1866 to Miss Malinda Doty. In 1895 he served Sioux County as supervisor from the fifth district and served it well.

He made his residence in Garfield township. He is survived by one son Lusius residing at Hudson. His wife died several years ago. He was an active member of the Fort Donaldson Post Grand Army of the Republic. Upon request of deceased funeral services were simple and were conducted from the house by his friend R. O. Schaber Interment was made at Hudson SD.
