Mrs. Cal Shimp died at her home in Nanton Alta Canada last week Thursday. The remains were shipped here. Funeral services were held in the Reformed church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Revs. Van Houte and Howie.

(Found the family listed on ancestry.com Calvin Calhoun Shimp born 8 Jul 185 Boyden IA died 9 Jul 1949. He married Gertrude De Vries 10 March 1909 at Boyden IA. She was the daughter of Steven De Vries and Tryntje Baas, she died June 1910. They had one baby boy who was born and died 1910.)
