Mrs. Alberta Kroese, age 83, of Hull, passed away Tuesday, February 20, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.

Alberta was born June 8, 1906, at Hull, the daughter of Albert Brummel and Johanna Fransen Brummel. On January 13, 1926, she married Ivan Kroese. They farmed near Hull until 1943, when they moved to a farm near Middleburg. In 1956, they moved to Hull. Mr Kroese passed away April 27, 1961, at Hull. For the past six weeks, Mrs. Kroese has resided at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.

She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Hull and the Helping Hand Society.

Survivors include her six children, Gerald and his wife, Hendrene, of Hull; Albert I., and his wife, Eleanor, of Orange City; Johanna, and her husband, Kenneth Ludema, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Hilmore, and his wife, La Vonne, of Hull; Irvin B., and his wife, Agnes, of Punta Gorda, Florida; and Arbelle, and her husband, Kenneth Draayer, of Hull; nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 24, at the First Christian Reformed Church of Hull, with the Reverend William Renkema officiating. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery in Hull, under the direction of the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.
