Bert Bosma was born July 4, 1890 in the Netherlands. The youngest of 10 children to Peter and Sadie Bosma. He came to America at the age of 18. He was married to Jennie Vermeer at Boyden, Iowa on Dec. 11, 1915. He spent most of his life in the Middleburg, Boyden and Sheldon vicinity.

He was a member of First Reformed Church of Sheldon, IA.

He is survived by his widow, 2 daughters, (Johanna) Mrs. Casey Slothouber, Boyden, IA. and (Trudy) Mrs. Edwin Brouwer, Sanborn, IA.; 1 son, Marvin Bosma, Sheldon, IA; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant daughter, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
