Henry Kramer, 72, of Le Mars, died Thursday at a hospital in Sioux City following a brief illness. Services were Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery with the Reverend Robert Robinson officiating.

Kramer was born April 9, 1916, in Hull. He was the son of Garritt and Mary (Jans) Kramer. He married Luverna Kots February 12, 1943, at Maurice.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a longtime farmer.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Glenda Habben, Margaret Koernesr and Arlene Luft, all of Le Mars; Sharon Poeckes of Remsen and Twilla Kramer of Le Mars; two sons,Henry Kramer Jr. of Ireton and Leland Kramer of Le Mars; three brothers, Arie Kramer of Ireton and Martin Kramer and Dick Kramer, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two sisters, Betty Koster and Marie Feenstra, both of Grand Rapids; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jacob.
