Died: August 8, 1993Miles H. Kramer, 68, Alton, died Sunday, August 8, 1993 at his home in Alton after a brief illness.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, August 11 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Reverend Ronald J. Reicks officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Alton, under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home, Remsen. Graveside military services were conducted by Floyd Post 200 American Legion.
Miles was born February 5, 1925 at Adrian, Minnesota to Henry and Anna (Domeyer) Kramer. He was raised at Adrian and graduated from Adrian High School in 1942. He entered the Navy on March 24, 1944 and was discharged May 18, 1945. He then attended the University of South Dakota, graduating with a degree in business administration.
He married Bernadette O’Brien November 24, 1951 at Worthington, Minnesota. He was employed at J.C. Penney at Worthington. He worked at Rieckhoff Company at Orange City from 1953 until retiring in 1987. The couple had lived at Alton since 1956.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the American Legion Floyd Post 200 of Alton.
Miles is survived by his wife Bernadette; a son, Kole and his wife Nancy, Spencer; a daughter, Kathleen and her husband Scott Roemhildt, Mankato, Minnesota; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Raymond “Ching,” Leander “Curly,” Lester and Lloyd Kramer; and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Rieckhoff.
