Services held for Mrs. F. Kock, Sr. Last Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Kock, Sr., 90, longtime resident of the Rock Valley vicinity who died unexpectedly at her home last Friday (December 13, 1963) were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Rock Valley. Rev. Alfred Kaupins officiated. Burial was in the Peace Lutheran cemetery under the direction of the Porter funeral home.
Mrs. Kock was born October 21, 1873 in Germany and came to LeMars in 1885. She was married to Mr. Kock January 29, 1892. She had resided in this vicinity ever since and for the last 16 years had been living with a daughter in Rock Valley. Mr. Kock preceded her in death.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Groth and Miss Tillie Kock, both of Rock Valley; Mrs. Marcus Kahl and Mrs. Verne McKenney, both of Inwood and Mrs. Henry Bosler of Alvord; five sons, Louis Kock of Inwood; George, Edward and Raymond Kock of Rock Valley and Fritz Kock of Hudson, S.D.; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
