Arie Kreykes, 74, of Lynwood, Illinois, died suddenly at his home July 27.

Funeral services were held at the Lynwood Christian Reformed Church Tuesday, July 30. Reverend Rein Teestma officiated.

Arie, the son of Johan and Ella Aardema Kreykes was born east of Hospers in O’Brien County May 5, 1911. On October 14, 1942 he was married to Pearl Vander Weit of Chicago, Illinois in the Roseland Christian Reformed Church here.

Survivors include two daughters, Johanna Lenting and Agnes Van Ryn; three sons, Johan, George and Art; two sisters, Agnes (Mrs. Gerrit) Van Surksum and Harriet (Mrs. Henry) Kuiper, both of Hospers; three brothers, John W., Henry and Marcus, all of Sheldon and eleven grandchildren.
