Mr. Henry Kruizenga, aged 60, passed away suddeny early Monday morning, May 17, following a stroke which lasted only an hour. He had been enjoying good health and had attended church services all day on Sunday but became ill during the night, suffering a stroke, and passed away one hour later.

He was born in Sioux County on May 5, 1883 and lived on a farm east of Sioux Center all his life, retiring just this spring on March 11.

Services were held Thursday afternoon at the home and at the First Reformed Church, of which he was a member. Reverend L.A. Brunsting officiated. Burial will be made at the local cemetery and pallbearers will be Andrew Ennema,Arthur W. Schuiterman, Arthur J. Schuiteman, Elmer Borgman, Dick Rozeboom anf Gerrit Rozeboom.

Survivors include Mrs. Kruizenga, the former Anna Schuiteman, and five children: Dena, Mrs. William De Stigter of Everly; Arthur of Sioux Center; Minnie, Mrs. George Caswell of Hull; Dorothy, Mrs Wessel Wynia of Sioux Center; and Grace Kruizenga of Sionx Center. The latter was a daughter of his first wife, the former Grada Rensink, who passed away several years ago. Other survivors include his father, Dick Kruizenga; three sisters: Dena Kruizenga, Mrs Jake Borgman and Mrs. John Rozeboom, all of Sioux Center; Dick of Clinton, Wisconsin; and Peter of Orange City.
