Mrs. Kathryn Kruizenga, 80, of Orange City, died Sunday, September 22, 1985 at the Orange City Hospital following a sudden illness.

Services were held Wednesday, September 25, at 1:30 P.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church, Orange City. Reverend Henry Vander Kam officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kruizenga was born December 2, 1904 at Orange City, the daughter of Walter and Dieuwertje (Groot) Sas. She was married to Peter D. Kruizenga. He died March 29, 1983. Most of her life was lived in Orange City and the past four years had been spent in the Pioneer Home.

She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include a son, Lowell and his wife, Anne of Omaha, Nebraska; three granddaughters, Lisa, Leslie and Alyssa; two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Nellie) Schaap of Orange City and Mrs. Elizabeth Vogelaar of Enumclaw, Washington; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Peter.
