Mrs. W. F. Molyneaux, a former well known resident of this city, died Monday at the home of her son James Woodside, in Sioux City, following a stroke of paralysis. She had been in poor health and came from Burlington, Colo., with her husband to Sioux City about five weeks ago for medical treatment. Two weeks ago she was stricken with paralysis and from that time continually failed until the final summons. The body was brought to Hawarden yesterday and brief funeral services were conducted at the Congregational Church by Rev. Arthur W. Miles. Interment took place at the Alcester cemetery beside the remains of her former husband, Mark Woodside.

Mary E. McCray was born in Erie County, PA, March 25, 1853. She went with her parents to Green Lake County, Wis., when four years old and returned to the birthplace when fourteen years of age. In 1868, she was united in marriage to Mark Woodside. Four years later they moved to Wisconsin where they remained one year, and in 1873 came to Union County, S.D., and located on a homestead near Alcester. These were real pioneer days and they passed through all the privations and hardships of the grasshopper period. Mr. Woodside died in 1881. Mr. Woodside was unsettled for several years after the death of her husband. She came to Hawarden in 1887 and engaged in the millinery business in which she continued for eleven years. She was married Dec. 22, 1898, at Dartfort, Wis., to W. F. Molyneaux. They resided in Wisconsin for three years and then returned to Hawarden and remained two years, going from here to Burlington, Colo., where they located on a homestead and where they have since made their home. Besides her husband, the deceased leaves two sons, James Woodside of Sioux City, and Roy Woodside of Minneapolis, to mourn her death. A brother, A. S. McCray of Green Lake, Wis., and Harley Molyneaux and Mrs. Florence Harris of Gary, Ind., also her husband and children and many friends were present at the funeral.
