Death: October 6, 1981

Henry Moret, 68, Sioux Center, died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 6, at his home in Sioux Center. Services were Friday in the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Moret was born July 15, 1913, at Boyden. He attended rural school and graduated from Boyden High School. He attended Northwestern Junior College and graduated from the University of Iowa at Iowa City. He taught school for three years and served in the U.S. Navy for 3 1/2 years during World War II.

He married Alene Ramaker May 16, 1941, at Sioux Center. She died Aug. 15, 1977. He married Rose J. Chicoine October 7, 1978. He was active in farming and real estate.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Lt. Douglas H, with the U.S. Navy in Japan and Harlan J. of Lake Benton, Minnesota; one daughter, Miss Gracia Nell of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; three grandchildren; four stepsons, Blair Chicoine of Sioux City, Dr. Noel Chicoine of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr. Kevin Chocoine of Sioux Falls and Warren Chicoine of Sioux Center; two stepdaughters, Mrs. David (Melanie) Smith of Elk Point, South Dakota and Nanette Chicoine of Sioux Center; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Nelvina) Rons of Brandon, South Dakota and Mrs. Earl (Eunice) Campbell of Owensboro, Kentucky; and one brother, Lawrence of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin.
