Henrietta “Etta” Moeller, 88, of Hawarden died Tuesday, January 1, in a care center at Hawarden.

Services were at 2:30 P.M. Friday, January 4, in Ireton. The Reverend Sieveking officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7-8 Thursday, January 3 in the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Moeller, the former Henrietta Witt, was born February 9, 1896, in rural Hawarden and attended rural schools. She married Pete Moeller February 14, 1917, in Ireton. They farmed in the Ireton area until 1955 when they moved to Hawarden. Mr. Moeller died February 7, 1972. She entered the Hillcrest Care Center in August 1984.

Mrs. Moeller was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include five sons, Melvin, Raymond, Daryl, Lowell and Dean, all of Ireton; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Vera) Schlumbohm and Mrs. Ken (Vivian) Bultman, both of Hawarden; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
