Mildred E. Moeller, 68, of Ireton, died Thursday, April 11, at a Sioux City Hospital.

Services were at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton, with the Reverend Mark Carnahan officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Moeller, the former Mildred Vander Hamm, was born February 21, 1923 in rural Ireton. Her parents were Robert and Anna (Jahn) Vander Hamm. She married Melvin Moeller April 28, 1951 at Denver, Colorado. They farmed north of Ireton all their married lives. Melvin died August 20, 1990, in Sioux City.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rosalie Pownell of Huron, South Dakota, Joyce and Don Binneboese of Orange City, Audrey and Mike Benton of Yuba City, California and Yvonne and Brent Stock of Bee, Nebraska; two brothers, Wilbur and Wallace, both of Ireton; three sisters, Marian Moeller of Hawarden, Myrna Vander Hamm of Ireton and Joan Osterkamp of Alcester, South Dakota; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Melvin, she was preceded in death by her mother, her father and her stepmother, Edna Vander Hamm.
