Melvin M. Moeller, 67, of rural Ireton died Monday, August 20, in a Sioux City Hospital.

Services were at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, August 23, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton with the Reverend Mark Carnahan officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Moeller was born January 28, 1923, in rural Ireton. He married Mildred Vander Hamm April 28, 1951, in Denver, Colorado. He was a veteran of the Korean War. The couple farmed north of Ireton all their married life.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; four daughters, Rosalie Pownell of Huron, South Dakota, Joyce Binneboese of Orange City; Audrey Benton of Yuba City, California, and Yvonne Stock of Milford, Nebraska; four brothers, Raymond, Daryl, Lowell and Dean, all of Ireton; a sister, Vivian Bultman of Hawarden; and nine grandchildren
