Mrs. George (June) Bode, 73, of Hawarden died Sunday, April 21,1985, in a hospital in Scottsdale,AZ. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Rev. Fredrich Mellberg will officiate. The body was cremated.

Mrs. Bode, the former June Adlam, was born April 25, 1911, in Chicago. She married George Bode June 17, 1933, in Chicago. They moved to Hawarden in 1949 where they operated the Hawarden Dairy from 1949 until 1956. They then operated the Hawarden Cleaners from 1957 until 1972. Mrs. Bode was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern' Star and was a member of the Associated Church in Hawarden.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jack of New York City and Ken of Washington, D. C; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Marian) Schurman of Scottsdale, and three grandchildren.
