Died: February 5, 1986

Edward Lokhorst, 70, of Hull, died Wednesday, February 5, in a hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, South Dakota.

Services were held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday in the First Reformed Church in Hull. The Reverend Gerald Vander Velde officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Lokhorst was born March 25, 1915, in Middleburg. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. For several years he was employed by Hymans Construction Company, then operated a tank wagon for Hull Co-op Gas and Oil for many years. He retired in 1977.

Mr. Lokhorst was a member of First Reformed Church and Wegman-Koele Post 380, American Legion.

Survivors include a brother, Peter, of Hull, and four sisters, Mrs. John (Jennie) Van Holland of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Paul (Caroline) Strange of Doon, Mrs. John (Hattie) Oldenkamp of Bellflower, California, and Mrs. Marvin (Melva) Boogerd of Canton, South Dakota.
