Death of Mrs. Geo. Beadle

Mrs. Geo. Beadle died at her home near Hudson [S.Dak.] Friday morning [November 11]. She had been sick for some time with what was thought to be a tumor. She was taken to Sioux City for treatment where it was discovered that she was suffering from a cancer of the liver, and that there was no hope for her recovery. She was then taken home to spend her few remaining days. The deceased leaves to mourn her untimely death a husband and two small children about two years old.

Funeral services were held Sunday in the Congregational church at Hudson. The services were largely attended. The remains were taken to Sioux City for burial beside other relatives.

George E. Beadle's obituary (separately posted) identifies his late wife as Nellie Small and gives their two daughters as Mrs. William Sprick and Mrs. V. D. Ferris. Public family trees on Ancestry.com have her born in 1876 or 1877, the daughter of Isaac Small and Sarah Jane Reeves; married to George E. Beadle in about 1905; daughters Georgia Winefred (Mrs. Virgil D. Ferris) and Eleanor Genevieve.
