Deaths -- Mrs. Reyer Van Aken

Funeral services for Mrs. Reyer Van Aken, 85, of Sanborn, who passed away Wednesday, January 13, in the Prairie View Home were held Saturday, January 16, at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanborn Funeral Home. Rev. Alison Hansen of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Hull officiated with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery at Hull.

Mrs. Van Aken, the former Anna Wiese, was born February 20, 1885, at Hull. She married Reyer Van Aken November 22, 1923 at Minneapolis. They lived at Hull until 1967 when they moved to the Sanborn retirement home. She was a fifty year member of the Rebekah Lodge at Hull.

Survivors are the widower and one son, Robert of Sioux City and two sisters, Miss Emma Wiese and Miss Maria Wiese, both of Hull.
