Mrs. Henry Kruizenga died suddenly at her home here early Sunday morning, July 20, 1947 at the age of 57 years, 5 months and 4 days. She had returned home the preceding Monday from the LeMars Sacred Heart Hospital where she had been under observation for a week because of a stomach disturbance. She had been getting along well. Death came following a heart attack, and she passed away before the children could reach home.
Mrs. Kruizenga, nee Anna Schuiteman, was born on a farm two miles east of Sioux Center and spent all her life in this vicinity. She was the mother of four children, who now survive her. They are Dena (Mrs. Wm. De Stigter) of Sioux City, Minnie (Mrs. George Caswell) of Hull, Arthur of Maurice, and Dorothy (Mrs. Wessel Wynia) of Ireton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, two sisters, Grace, (Mrs. Herman Ennema) and Mina (Mrs. Evert Schut), and three brothers, John A. Schuiteman, William Schuiteman and Arthur Schuiteman, all of Sioux Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aart Schuiteman and a sister, Minnie (Mrs.Joe Navis).

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the home and at the First Reformed Church. Rev. L.A. Brunsting was in charge. Burial took place at the Sioux Center Cemetery, with six nephews as pallbearers; Arthur and Andrew Ennema, Arthur and Melvin Schuiteman, Ellsworth Schut and Arthur Navis.
