Funeral Home Obituary - Abt. December 10, 2008

Ireton, IA - Lowell G. Moeller, 76, of Ireton, Iowa died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton, Iowa with Rev. Marcel Kohlmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Porter Funeral Home in Ireton.

Lowell G. Moeller was born August 4, 1932, near Ireton, Iowa, the son of Pete & Henrietta (Witt) Moeller. He attended rural school and served with the U.S. Army from December 1953 to December, 1955, after which he served with the Army Reserves. Lowell farmed with his brother Daryl near Ireton.

He was baptized at and a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. He was also a member of Amvet.

Survivors include a brother, Raymond of Ireton; a sister, Vivian Bultman and her husband Ken of Hawarden, Iowa.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lyle, Melvin, Dean and Daryl, and sisters, Violet Moeller as a child, and Verna Schlumbohm.
