Funeral services for Miss Anna Mollhoff, who died last Thursday morning, were held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral home in Hawarden and at 2 o'clock in the Trinity Lutheran church at Akron with Rev. J. A. Pannkuk, the pastor in charge. The Trinity choir sang two sacred selections, "Asleep in Jesus: and "Abide With Me". Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron.

Miss Mollhoff was the victim of an unusual explosion in the basement in her home Sunday, February 20. She was treated at the Hawarden hospital where she was a patient until her death.

Anna Marie Mollhoff, daughter of William & Katherine Mollhoff, was born in Portland Township, Plymouth County, November 23, 1899. She was baptized in Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, December 17, 1899. In the same church she professed her faith in Christ and was confirmed December 31, 1925. A number of years ago she came to Hawarden and lived with her brother John.

Survivors are two brothers, John & William Mollhoff of Hawarden and two sisters, Mrs. John Hartman of Hawarden and Mrs. Mary Brownmiller of Sioux City.

Memorials were given in her memory in the Trinity Lutheran pipe organ fund of Akron, by the Red Cross and the Akron hospital.
