Bertille "Berdie" Cecilia Moutes, 81, Camarillo, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999.

Mrs. Moutes was born September 22, 1917 in Alton, Iowa and was a 24 year Ventura County resident, coming from the San Fernando Valley in 1975. She worked for the State of California in the Department of Human Resources and retired after 20 years as an adjudicator. She was also a volunteer at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Nicholas Moutes, children: Cecilia Ann Friesen (Nick); John Gerald Moutes (Rose Helen); Mary Kathleen Nalley (John); Michael Dennis Moutes (Debra); 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m., - 9 p.m., at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, Camarillo with Vigil Rite Service at 7:30 p.m., Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel, 2532 Ventura Blvd., Camarillo with burial following at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cancer Center of Ventura County, 1700 N. Rose Ave., Suite 145, Oxnard, CA 93030.
