John Morgan passed away at his home at Rock Rapids about 9:30 Sunday morning after a lingering illness of several months duration from hardening of the arteries. Mr. Morgan was an old time and highly respected citizen of Rock Rapids and will be greatly missed in his family and his circle of friends. He is survived by his wife and eight children, all of whom were at his bedside at the time of his death with the exception of one daughter, who resides at Salt Lake City, Utah. John Morgan was the father of D. M. Morgan of this city. High requiem mass was held at the Catholic church at Rock Rapids Wednesday morning and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at that place.
