Died: December 1, 1948 Le Mars, Iowa

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Bertha Jacobsma, 53 on Sat. afternoon at the First Reformed Church (Dec. 4) with Rev. A. Cammenga of Hull officiating. Services were held at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 at the church. Burial was made at Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley.

Mrs. Bertha Jacobsma (nee Bunning) was born on a farm near Rock Valley Dec. 23, 1894. She married Nick Jacobsma March 6, 1923 and to this union were born two daughters, Anna (Mrs. Floyd Jansma) of Hull and Ella Mae at home. She had lived in this vicinity all her life and kept house the past two years for her father. She had been in the employ of the local library as librarian. She died in Sacred Heart Hospital in Le Mars early Wed. morning, Dec. 1, 1948 after a short illness virus pneumonia.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mrs. John Bunning and a brother Albert.

She is survived by her father John Bunning and two daughters, three sisters, Mrs. Angeline Loffswold of Hartford, S.D. Mrs. Jake Jipping of Perkins and Gertrude, Mrs. John Klay of George and one grandson Tunis Floyd Jansma and many nieces and nephews.

The pall bearers were the following six nephews Reynold and John W. Klay of Luverne, MN Stanley Klay of Canistota, S.D. Chester Loffswold of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Donald and Laverne Loffswold of Hartford, S.D.
