ALTON MOTHER DIES FOLLOWING POLIO

Mrs. Eunice Hofmeyer, 29 year-old mother of two children was the fourth polio victim in Sioux County this year. She died of the bulbar type of polio in a Sioux City hospital 11 hours after being admitted.

Her home was in Alton and she was taken to the hospital last Thursday.

Funeral services were held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church and burial was in Alton.

Survivors include the widower and their two children, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Haag, also of Alton.
