Hawarden Independent, September 8, 1927

Gordon Frederick, infant babe of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Morgan of Gann Valley, SD, passed away at 11:45 Sunday night in a hospital at Huron, SD, following a brief illness. The baby had not been feeling well and last Thursday when it was realized that his condition was serious he was rushed to a hospital at Huron in order that he might received the best of care. Mr. & Mrs. Frank Morgan of Hawarden left for Huron Sunday morning when they received word of the serious illness of their grandson and were there at the time of his death. The remains were brought overland to Hawarden Monday. Funeral services were held at the Ross Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. J. W. LaGrone, pastor of the Methodist church in charge. The little form was tenderly laid to rest in Grace Hill cemetery.

Gordon Frederick was born at the Hawarden hospital, July 27, 1927, and passed away Sept. 4, 1927, so was but 5 weeks and 3 days old. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother Harold and one sister, Helen Jane. Sincere sympathy is extended to the family in their sorrow.
