Many Attend Rites For Mrs. DeVries

Mrs Peter De Vries died Sunday morning at her home north of Ireton after an illness of only a few days. She was 58 years of age. She had been ill only a few days. She was 58 years of age. She had been ill only a few days with pneumonia, so her passing was a shock to relatives as well as friends. Funeral services were at the Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon. A big crowd attended.

Virginia Butler was born in Marion county, Iowa, on December 19, 1876. She was married to Peter De Vries April 5, 1899, and since her marriage she has lived in Sioux county. The past twenty three years she has lived on the farm where she died. This home was blessed with seven children, three Mildred, Susie and John, have preceded her in death

Surviving are her husband and four children, Mrs. Henry Heimstra of Maurice, Mrs. Lester Watkins of Kansas, Harry De Vries of Montana and Walter De Vries of Ireton. Mr. and Mrs. Harry De Vries and Mr. and Mrs. Watkins came to Ireton for the funeral.
