Minnie Moore, 91, of Rock Valley died Sunday, January 2, at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley. Services were Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. Jim Demke officiating. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery.

She was born May 29, 1902, southwest of Rock Valley, the daughter of Charlie & Bertha (Pabbeldt) Gayer. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church of rural Sioux Center. She married Walter A. Moore on February 1, 1926, on her homestead. The couple farmed south of Rock Valley where she was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, including the Women's Ladies' Aid. they retired and moved to Rock Valley in 1961, where she was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and its women's organizations. She moved to Valley Manor of Rock Vally on November 4, 1986. Her husband died on January 22, 1990.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Walter C. & Shirley Moore of Rock Valley and Donald & Sylvia Moore of Spencer; a daughter and her husband, Arleen & Raymond Miller of Sioux Center; a brother and his wife, Charles & Edith Gayer of Rock Valley; a sister-in-law, Elsie Moore of Rock Valley; a brother-in-law, Rudy Winterfeld of Sioux Falls, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Karl Gayer; two brothers, Bill & Art Gayer, and a sister, Bertha Winterfeld.
