Harriet J. Fannie Smith, 90, died October 18, 2007 from lung congestion in Phoenix, Arizona. She was cremated and at her request there were no services.

Harriet J. Finnie was born on August 31, 1917, in Hawarden, the daughter of Robert Finnie and Bertha Lula Olsen Finnie. She grew up in Hawarden along with four siblings.

She was married to Donald Lawrence Smith on November 12, 1937. He died in 1977 in California, and Harriet remained living alone for the rest of her life. Harriet had many fond memories of Hawarden.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lila Don Smith Conley of Phoenix, Arizona and Joanie Smith Kilpatrick of San Diego, California; grandson, Ryan Conley and two great grandsons, Ronen and Sage Conley, of Merced, California; and various nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; daughter Jean Ann (who died at 3 months); and four siblings, Ted, Gene, Inez, and Lois.
