Died: October 6, 2004 Amarillo, Texas

Allan Lamont Rozeboom, 76, of Sheldon died Wed. Oct. 6 at Northwest Texas Hospitall in Amarillo, TX.

Memorial services will be Friday Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Sheldon with Rev. David Brower officiating. Private family graveside services will be prior to the memorial service.

Rozeboom, the son of Lammert Jr. and Jennie (Klein) Rozeboom was born June 3, 1928, in Sheldon. He received his education in a country school near Sheldon. He helped his dad on the farm and later purchased the home place. He married Carina "Connie" Baartman on May 31, 1950 in Boyden. The couple lived on the home place southeast of Sheldon. He worked the land and delivered feed for Moorman Feed Co. until he retired from farming in Sept. 1984. After retiring he drove for Keen Korner delivering gas; and for a few years he worked for Chase Bag in Sibley. Presently he was delivering papers for White Wolf Web Printer Inc.

He was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church in Sheldon and a member of the Pipestone Wagon Train. He was a past member of the Sheldon Farmers Co-op Board. He had been active in the Sheldon Royal Riders Saddle Club and enjoyed wagon train rides, traveling, camping, and ice fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years; five children, Myron and Elizabeth Rozeboom, Denise and David Wolthuizen, Darla and Roger Sauer and Larry Rozeboom all of Sheldon, and Brian and Ruth Rozeboom of Sioux Center; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Evelyn and Eugene Nieuwenhuis of Wheatridge, CO; a brother, Donald and Phyllis Rozeboom of Loveland, CO; a sister-in-law Mary Helene Rozeboom of Sheldon; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Sue; and a brother, Marion.
