Clinton "Bud" Halle, 67, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Hawarden died Thursday, Jan. 31, 1985, in a Sioux Falls hospital after long illness. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in Hilltop United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls. Burial was in Hills of Rest Cemetery under direction of George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.

Mr. Halle was born July 7, 1917, at Viborg, SD. He entered the Army Air Force in 1943. He married Ellen Johnson Feb. 16 1946, in Sioux Falls. He taught school at Viborg and later was superintendent of schools at Tabor and Freeman, SD. Mr. Halle taught industrial arts at Hawarden for 19 years before retiring and moving to Sioux Falls in June 1981. He was a member of Hilltop United Methodist Church, an American Legion Post and Moose Lodge 503 in Sioux Falls and Elks Lodge 543 at Yankton, SD. He was a lifetime member of the South Dakota Education Association and a member; of the Iowa State Education Association and the National Education Association.

Survivors include his wife; a son Byron of Ponca City, OK; his mother, Mrs. Alta Halle of Viborg; a sister, Mrs. Wanda Sorenson of Viborg and four grandchildren.
