Lee R. Bader, 82, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 1985, at Beverly Manor Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was born Nov. 8, 1902, in Hawarden, to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Perry Bader. He married Iva M. Brayton on Aug. 14, 1941, at Nashua. He was a longtime industrial arts teacherart the Iowa City school system. He had lived and taught school in Hobbs, NM; and Osage, before moving to Iowa City in 1943. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Epsilon Pi Tau fraternity.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Jane Kuwana of Worthington, OH, and Louise Hawley.of Duluth, MN; and three grandchildren. His body has been donated to the University of Iowa anatomy department. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Wilbur Wilcox. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to Alzheimer's Disease Related Disorders Association, in care of the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, 1200 Pleasant St., Des Moines 50308. George L. Gay's was in charge of arrangements.
