Corleen Faye Meendering, 67, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, formerly of Hull, died Tuesday, May 8, at her residence following a year long battle with cancer.

Services will be 11 A.M. today (Saturday, May 12) at Church at the Gate in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Corleen Meendering, daughter of Cornelius and Jean (Baartman) Brunsting, was born January 20, 1940, in Sheldon. She grew up and received her education in Boyden, graduating from Boyden High School in 1958. She married Allan W. Meendering on August 11, 1959, in Boyden. They lived in Hospers 1959-64, then moved to Sioux Center for a short time. They moved to Hull, and she raised their family. She also worked with Allan at M&M Meat Market and worked in sales and traveling for The Foreign Candy Store. They moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in 1910, and for 15 years worked at Spader Company in business management sales. She retired in December 2006.

She most recently was a member of Church at the Gate in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She loved her family and grandchildren and all of the family gatherings they enjoyed together.

Survivors include her husband, Allan Meendering of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; five children, Mike and Kari Meendering of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Monica and Della Meendering of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Clint and Janelle Meendering of Inwood, Stacy and Amy Meendering of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Nikole and Jeremy Ackman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Pete Brunsting of Brookings, South Dakota, and Dennis and Sue Brunsting of Valley Springs, South Dakota; and two sisters, Ruby Den Herder of Wakefield, Nebraska and Carole Ten Braak of Sheldon.
