Angela Joy Post, 34, of Davenport, IA formerly of Sioux Center, died unexpectedly Mon. June 2, at her residence.

Funeral service was Sat. at 10:30 at Carmel Reformed Church of rural Rock Valley, with Rev. Joel Bensema officiating. Interment was in Carmel Cemetery of rural Rock Valley.

Post was born Sept. 25, 1973, the daughter of Warren and Fonda (Broek) Post. She graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1992, and continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with a B S in chemistry in 1997. In 2000 she achieved her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. Following graduation she worked at the career she loved both as a store pharmacist and pharmacy manager at both Longs and Ralphs in southern CA. In 2000 she moved back to Iowa to be closer to her family. She was currently working as a pharmacy manager for Walgreens at Kimberly and Eastern Davenport.

She loved life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an active runner, and always felt refreshed after an eight-mile run or completing a marathon. She had a very personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. She had an extraordinary combination of beauty, intellect and compassion.

Survivors include a son, Corey; her fiance Tedd Lear, Moline, ILL.; her parents, Warren and Fonda Post, Sioux Center; a brother and sister-in-law, Arlin and Kelly Post, East Moline, ILL; sister, Nicole Post, Sioux Center; grandmother, Berdie Broek, Sioux Center; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and the Lear family.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter and Henrietta Post and Cornie Broek; and cousins, Justin Van De Berg and Kevin Post.
